This is a watercolor painting on fabric.
A technique that I had learn from my teacher Mr. Gisalal, in India. This type of painting is an old technique from Rajashtan. This picture shows part of the painting that its made by very fine and small brushes. A painting like this one take me at list 60+ hrs of work. (size 12x14) I only use Black and white watercolor ink.

"Contraste"
This painting reperesent the cultural contrast in India, my last trip.
This woman represent the "untochables" the lower cast in India who hold menial jobs such a sweepers and latrine cleaners. I meet this women at Juhu beach in Mumbai, she was with her daughter. They live on the streets like many others, life talk from her eyes, hard and taught.
The peacock feathers in the background represent the oposite, the royalty. In India peacock feather are use on altars to worship gods and godesses.
